At Home Personal Training
Services & How it Works
Step 1. Phone Consultation
Free / 10-15 minutes
I will arrange a time with you for a phone consultation. This will help me understand what you are looking for. During this time I will chat to you about your fitness goals, training space, training availability and any injuries you may have.
Step 2. Home Visit Assessment
30 minutes
I come to your home to meet you and assess your needs. I look at where we would be conducting the PT sessions and what equipment I will need to bring or what you might have. We will go through some basic movement patterns and discuss any injuries you have. I will then be able to formulate a personalised program for our future sessions. We will also work out a training schedule and organise our regular appointments.
Step 3. Home Visit Personal
Training Sessions
45 minute personalised training session
We work through your tailored programming to move towards your goals. I update your programming every 4-6 weeks as you progress.
There is an option to add 1-2 extra programming days which you can do independently. However, this is not essential to progress towards your goals.
About Me
Hi! nice to meet you, my name is Heather, and I have been a Personal Trainer since 2018.
While previously working in commercial gyms, I found a passion for developing fun and motivating sessions helping those who may be new to strength training and may not know where to start, and also those with injuries/ limitations that they need to work around. I have a love for strength training as it is optimal for our overall health as we age.
I began to work with clients at their homes in outdoor spaces during Covid lockdowns and found this was effective and enjoyable for myself and my clients. Because of of how positive this experience was, and since becoming a mother wanting to work part time, I decided to leave commercial gyms and work solely as a mobile PT and come to you!
Collaboration with my clients’ physiotherapists/ chiropractors to do relevant exercises has been beneficial to clients’ progress. When appropriate, I have also referred clients for further assessment, and collaborated in following up.
Qualifications:
Certificate III in Fitness, Certificate IV in Fitness, Level 1 Master Trainer, Safe Return to Exercise course, Precision Nutrition Level 1 & up to date relevant First Aid qualifications.
Prior to motherhood, I started study for a Bachelor of Exercise & Sport Science which I am hoping to one day get back to when my daughter is older. I love learning about the body and how it adapts to exercise.
My focus now is training those who are looking to build or maintain strength, bone density, muscle mass, those looking for fitness, balance & mobility, and those wanting accountability from a kind, experienced and knowledgeable personal trainer.
I look forward to meeting you, and working together on your exercise goals!
